​Account
An Account is an entity that represents a customer or an organization you do business with.
Activity
Activity is an action that is performed by someone in organization (e.g. call made to customer by agent, email sent to a customer etc.)
Affiliate
A person or company to whom you pay a commission for sales or leads generated.
Affiliate Center
Announcement Messages and information shown on the Affiliate Center Welcome page.
Affiliate Center URL
The URL where affiliates go to login and retrieve statistics, creatives and campaign specific instructions.
Affiliate Center Welcome Page
The first page affiliates see in the Affiliate Center after they login to their account.
Auto-Reject
The lead is delivered to the buyer but the buyer has responded with text that indicates that the lead was not acceptable.
Batch Lead Delivery
The process of manually creating a file of leads.
Broker
The act of representing a campaign to an affiliate which is owned by a third party.
Merchant
A person or company that buys lead data or traffic.
Campaign
It is an activity that is run to attract potential customers for a product or service being sold (email campaigns, newsletters, telesales etc.) Within Hitpath, it is an advertising promotion for a product or service setup.
Channel
A data delivery connection between a Merchant and Campaign
Channel Aliases
Dynamically created field/value pairs sent to lead buyers which may or may not be created from actual lead data.
Channel Post Back
The process of automating lead returns from a Buyer.
Channel Rules
The criteria for sending a lead to a buyer channel.
CNAME
An alias within a domain’s DNS that points to another domain.
ConsumerMatch
A service provided within Hitpath that allows additional validation. *extra cost per lookup.
CPA
Cost per acquisition (or sale). This represents a campaign where a commission is earned every time a sale is made.
CPC
Cost per click. This represents a campaign where a commission is earned every time a creative is clicked.
CPL
Cost per lead. This represents a campaign where a commission is earned with each lead generated.
CPM
Cost per mil (thousand). This represents a campaign where a commission is earned every 1000 times a creative is displayed.
Co-Reg or CoRegistration
Information posted directly to your Hitpath account from a location other than your landing page.
Merchant Unit Price
The revenue generated from each lead/transaction.
Field/Value Pairs
Information consisting of a field name and corresponding value. Example: FirstName=John+Doe
Impression Pixel
The process of executing a script embedded within a 1x1 HTML image tag within a banner or email creative. This allows Hitpath to report that the creative has loaded in a browser and been displayed to a consumer.
Invoice
An Invoice is a record of sale made to a customer, includes details of the product sold and its support agreement etc.
JavaScript Pixel
The process of executing a script embedded within a 1x1 HTML JavaScript tag on the merchant’s confirmation page. This allows Hitpath to read the transactional information written to a consumer’s machine placed by the redirect link while writing the appropriate affiliate’s standard pixel URL to the confirmation page.
Landing Page
The webpage where consumers arrive to complete a sale or lead form.
Lead
The information collected about a consumer or sales transaction.
Lead List
The screen used within the Partner Center to view, manage and export lead data
Lead Poster Application
An application provided by Hitpath that allows partners to post tab delimited text file information from their desktop to a Merchant, Buyer or Hitpath.
Merchant
A person or company who provides offers for you to make available to your affiliates.
Offer A Campaign presented in the Affiliate Center.
Partner Center
The application where Hitpath partners login to manage campaigns. See http://partner.Hitpath.com .
Pixel Post
The process of posting information embedded within a 1x1 HTML image tag on the merchant’s confirmation page. This allows Hitpath receive transactional data directly from a merchant about a sale/lead.
Pixel Tracking Campaign
The tracking of sales/leads via the use of a redirect link and tracking pixel.
PixVantage
The process of executing a script embedded within a 1x1 HTML JavaScript tag on the merchant’s confirmation page. This allows Hitpath to read the transactional information written to a consumer’s machine placed by the redirect link while writing the appropriate affiliate’s standard pixel URL to the confirmation page. Affiliate pixel URL’s are entered from within the Affiliate Center.
Postback
The process of allowing buyers to automate lead returns by posting information to Hitpath.Private Label
Your company’s brand in the header of the Affiliate Center, Download Center, affiliate email updates, and newsletters.
Product
Product is an object or service that is being sold to a potential customer (e.g. DISH, SPP, Movie Tickets etc.)PSA or Partner service agreement
Public Name The name of a campaign to be show in the Affiliate Center.
Redirect Link
A URL that writes a transactional information a consumer’s machine while directing them to a landing page.
Redirect Link Pre-population
Allows you and your affiliates to pre-populate third party merchant landing pages
Standard Pixilation
The process of executing a script embedded within a 1x1 HTML image tag on the merchant’s confirmation page. This allows Hitpath to read the transactional information written to a consumer’s machine placed by the redirect link.
Target
Target comprises of details of a person such as name, address, phone number, email etc. It can also be a contact or a lead. (also Contact or Lead)
Target List
Target List is a list of targets at which a campaign is targeted at. A target list is associated with a campaign. Executing a campaign for the associated target list should create a list of opportunities or leads who can be contacted for sales purposes.
Tracking/Lead Submission IP
The IP address of a consumer or system where information was posted from.
