Upgrading to SharePoint Server 2010
The articles in this guide help you for Sharepoint plan and perform an upgrade from Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 to SharePoint Server 2010.
You can choose between two basic upgrade approaches when you upgrade from Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 to Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010: in-place upgrade and database attach upgrade. An in-place upgrade is used to upgrade all Microsoft SharePoint sites on the same hardware. A database attach upgrade enables you to move your content to a new farm or new hardware.
